Wood and Ivery Limited: An extraordinary general meeting of the members of this company was held yesterday, at the registered offices, 15 Newhall Street, Birmingham, at which were present Mr. R. H. Burman, chairman; Messrs. Wilkinson and J. R. Avery, directors; Mr. J. W. Ivery, secretary, Mr. R. A. Pinsent, solicitor; and a large number of shareholders. The chairman explained the unfortunate position in which the company found themselves, in consequence of the steps taken by the mortgagees of the company’s works and stated that a petition for winding up had been presented and stood for hearing the next day. …
