Failure of a Merchant: the Birmingham County Court, on Saturday, a petition for liquidation was filed by Christopher Wood, general merchant, of 48, St. Paul’s Square, Birmingham, trading under the firm of Wood, Garnett, and Co., the liabilities being estimated at £13,500, and the assets not yet ascertained — Upon the application of Messrs. Barlow, Smith, and Pinsent, 39, Waterloo Street, solicitors for the debtor, the Registrar appointed Mr. V. W, Houghton, Waterloo Street, public accountant, receiver of the estate.
