Handsworth Agent’s Fraud: Spending Employer’s Money to increase Business: Benjamin James Fellows, chemist’s agent, of Holyhead Road Handsworth was charged at the Birmingham Police court yesterday with embezzling £2 7s 9d, the money of his employer … … … Mr. Smith (Messrs. Pinsent and Co.), who defended, said the accused pleaded guilty. The root of the matter was that the accused thought he would be able to replace the money he had taken, and he (Mr. Smith) was satisfied that it was a case in which criminal intent was entirely absent.
