Hockey: … On the Worthing Sports Ground, Kent defeated Sussex 4 goals to 1 in a hockey match. The winners’ combination was better than that of their opponents, and they were smarter in handling the ball. Godrich, Pinsent, and Satterthwaite, who scored one goal each, were responsible for Kent leading 3 goals to half-time. A nice centre from Clarke enabled Pinsent to score. Sussex were seen to have more advantage on resuming, and with a little more luck in front of goal might have made matters level. Moore Radford brought off several smart saves but failed to stop a shot from Elwell. Godrich shot Kent’s fourth goal.
