The Purchase of the Market: At the present moment this is our great difficulty. The town wants a better market; the present one is in private hands, but there is an offer to sell – the question to be determined is shall it be bought? A meeting of the inhabitants was held on Friday, at the Town Hall to take action in the matter. W. J. Watts, Esq., presided, and there were also present, Sir W., Rae, Rev. Dr. Goode … Etc.
