Newton: Petty Sessions: Tuesday: Before Dr. Atkinson, J. Vicary, Esq., Admiral Wise, Captain Cornish-Bowden, and G. B. Ellacombe, Esq.: Mr. Pinsent applied on behalf of Mr. Boon, Bishopsteignton, for an occasional license on the occasion of the flower show and the following day. The Bench informed the applicant that they had already refused licences for flower shows, and therefore could not comply with his request.
