The visit of the Fact Stock Society to Newton: Proposed Carnival: Last Tuesday evening a public meeting convened by the Portreeve (Mr. J. A. Mackenzie), was held in the Town Hall, Newton Abbot, with a view to considering what steps should be taken to provide extra attraction on the occasion of the visit of the West of England Fat Stock Society to the town, which takes place in December next.
