West of England Fat Cattle and Poultry Show: The seventeenth annual meeting of the West of England Fat Cattle and Poultry Society was held in the Devonport Marketplace on Wednesday and made a capital all-round show of animals and birds. … The poultry exhibits were divided into forty two classes, twentynine of these being allotted to fowls, geese etc. and the remainder to pigeons. In the former the entries in every class, excepting the partridge Cochins, the Dorkings and the Hamburgs, were very numerous and the exhibits being generally of good merit the judging was arduous.
