Meeting of Creditors: A meeting of the creditors of Carl Frederick Block of 326 Pershore Road and carrying on business as a merchant at No. 25 Mary Ann Street, Birmingham under the style of “Carl, Block and Co.,” was held yesterday at the Queen’s Hotel, Mr. R. H. Smith presiding. Mr. Pinsent, Waterloo Street represented the debtor … (statement of accounts) … He had audited the debtor’s accounts during the past four years, and he had means of knowing that Mr. Block had been struggling hard to meet his obligations honourably. Mr. Pinsent made an offer of 5s in the pound, payable in cash within fourteen days from the confirmation meeting. The proposition was accepted.
