Mr. W. S. Pinsent presided at the Jubilee Committee meeting on Monday. It was reported that the Wolborough feoffees had given £20 to the fund for feeding the poor. The Treasurer (Mr. T. M. Hoskin) reported having received £216 for the Hospital endowment Fund. It was decided to hold an open-air dance in Courtenay Park from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.; and indoor dance at the Alexandra Hall from 10 p.m. to midnight, that the recreation ground be lighted with an immense illuminated devise, the Gas Company providing the gas free, the Committee paying £4 for labour, that the Volunteer band be engaged at a cost of £17 10s and that a procession by held at 10 a.m. starting from Forde Park.
