Underhay: THE AMALGAMATION QUESTION: The Clerk stated that since the last meeting he had received a letter from the clerk to the Newton Urban District Council, stating that the subcommittee of the Urban Council appointed to consider the question of the amalgamation of Highweek and WoIborough for Local Government purposes, would be prepared to meet the Highweek subcommittee on Thursday, August 6th. … (continues) … (also other business) …
