Bovey Tracey: … … The annual sermons in aid of Home Missions were preached at the Wesleyan Chapel by the Rev. C. Streat. On the Tuesday following a public meeting was held when an address was given by the Rev. C. Speck, of Paignton, entitled “A Sunday at St. George’s in the East.” The Revs. J. G. Beauchamp and W. H. Payne took part. Mr. Warner presided. During the evening an anthem by the choir and solos were given by Miss Pinsent, Messrs. Richer and Edwards, and a violin solo by Mrs. Beauchamp.
