Highweek: Mr. W. S. Pinsent presided at the Parish Council, there was also present, Major Kitson and Messrs. C. Adams (2), J. Olver, R. Pascoe, W. L. Shilston, T. Weatherdon, J. Rogers, C. Vicary, A. Segar and W. H. Jarvis. The Clerk stated that the paths between Bradley Lane and the Totnes Road had been repaired the Highweek side of the bridge at a cost of 9s and that he had written to the surveyor of Wolborough Urban District Council respecting the repairs on the Bridge, and had received a reply to the effect that he had caused some temporary repairs to be done but he found the bridge required new girders, and he would prepare an estimate of the probable cost to be divided between the two Councils … (further discussion of roads and footpaths) …
