Highweek Parish Council met last evening: present, Mr. J. Vicary, J.P., chairman; Messrs. W. H. Jarvis, R. Pascoe, C. G. Vicary, J. Rogers. J. Olver, T. Weatherdon, C. Adams (plumber), E. Kitson, C. Adams (farmer), Segar, and W. S. Pinsent. — The Rural District Council in reference to the alterations proposed to the bridge leading from Lemon – road to Marsh – lane recommended that the western side of the bridge also widened. It was resolved to ask Miss Kitson to act on the Highweek Technical Education Committee. A precept was issued under the authority of a parish meeting held on Monday last to raise £100 for defraying the cost of lighting the parish to March 31st next.
