The recent frost: A report received from Mr. a. Murrin as to steps taken for unfreezing the fire hydrants in compliance with a resolution of the council passed on February 16th, enclosing his account of payment to men and for coke: £3. 16s 10d. On the proposition of Mr. Pinsent, seconded by Rev. S. H. Harris, Mr. Murrin’s account was passed, and a hearty vote of thanks accorded Messrs. Murrin and Weatherdon for their services, and also Messrs. W. Haydon and J. G. White for the gratuitous loan of fire baskets. Mr. Murrin was voted £1 for his services in connection with the unfreezing of the hydrants on the motion of Mr. C. G. Vicary, seconded by Mr. Pinsent.
