Change Ringing at St. Mary’s: On Saturday eight members of the Ancient Society of College Youths rung a true peal of Grandaire triples, 5,040 changes (Holt’s Ten Parts). The time occupied was two hours and fifty-two minutes. The peal was novel from the fact that the Christian name of the whole eight ringers was William. There were Messrs. Coakham, 1st, Manning 2nd, Smith 3rd, Dallimore 4th, Birkin 5th, Pinsent, 6th, Freeman 7th and Pye 8th. The peal was rung in honour of Mr. W. Pinsent’s birthday.
