Highweek: All the members attended the first Parish Council, Mr. J. Vicary, J.P. was elected chairman, Mr. W. Pinsent, vice-chairman, Mr. T. S. M. Underhay (assistant overseer) clerk, Mr. T. M. Hoskin, treasurer. A precept for £ 15 was issued to defray election and other expenses.
