CHRISTMAS DINNER CONCERTS: Miss C. E. Linter’s amateur concerts for the benefit of the poor of Teignmouth, were held on Wednesday, and were as usual well supported. This year the Committee have for various reasons reverted to the original plan of giving two performances in Miss Linter’s music room, instead of one in the Town Hall, and from a musical standpoint the advantage of having an organ available is obvious. The lady vocalists were Miss Beatrice Browne and Miss Hughes, who are already known and appreciated in Teignmouth, Miss Dyer who is here on a visit, and Miss Pinsent, whose pretty song “Whisper and I shall hear” had the advantage of a delicate violin obligato by Mr. S.
