Newton Constitutional club on the occasion of the first ladies’ concert on Friday evening was crowded. … Mr. G. S. Jones (bandmaster 5th Haytor F.B.D.R.) gave a fine violin solo and was encored. Other acceptable items were those by Messrs. A. J. L. Symons, C. Brown, A. G. Lombardini, W. H. Pinsent (banjo) and Clark (violin).
