West Ham Abbey Lodge Masonic Service: A service unique in the annals of local freemasonry was held on Thursday evening in St. John’s church, Stratford, on behalf of West Ham Hospital. The nave of the church was reserved for the brethren, the public, who were admitted by ticket, being seated in the aisles, which were well filled. A marquee had been erected in the church grounds to enable those attending the service to invest themselves with the masonic clothing and the insignia of office.
