The Primrose League: Lord Ashboune and Mr. Mallock, at Torquay: A meeting in the Bath Saloons, Torquay, on Wednesday evening, in connection with the Torquay Habitation of the Primrose League, was largely attended, the Dame President, Mrs. Mallock, presiding. Mr. R. Mallock, M.P., said the present Session, which should have been so fruitful, had been talk, talk, talk, simply a deluge of words. … (political speech) … A musical programme was also given, those taking part included Miss Gregory and Messrs. Kay, Pinsent, and D. Coombe. Mrs. Clode gave an exhibition of conjuring. Dancing commenced at 11 o’clock.
