Newton Football Club Benefit Concert: Football clubs, like churches, have a habit of falling into debt, and Newton Football Club being like most other clubs, sometimes finds that its balance on the right side is not so large as could be desired. In order to relieve the treasurer of some of his anxiety, a concert was given in the Alexandra Hall on Thursday by the Newton Variety Company, assisted by a few friends … programme ….
