Newton Fanciers’ Society held its monthly show at the Dolphin Coffee Tavern on Friday. Owing to the moulting season the exhibits of caged birds were not so numerous as would otherwise have been the case. Mr. W. S. Pinsent has offered two cups and Mr. P Heaward will also give a cup value £2 2s. for the best Yorkshire canary at the January show.
