A Cycling Cub for Devonport was formed at a meeting held in the Temperance Hall, Devonport, last evening. Mr. A. T. Steer, presided, and among others present were Messrs. Perry, Mitch, Clark, J. Poole, Lang, T. martin, Wyatt, Miller, C. Hall, Pensent, Alford, Mitchell and Sherton. It was decided that the club should be called “Devonport Cycling Club” and that the colours should be a dark blue cap with nickel-silver badge. It was resolved to ask Mr. A. J. Rider of Stoke to be president. Mr. P. Wyatt was elected sub-captain, Mr. Miller secretary, Mr. Mitchell, treasurer, and Messrs. Pensent, Poole, Olford, Perry and Clark were elected on the committee. Owing to the small attendance, a captain was not chosen. The subscription fee for members was fixed at 2s per annum. The meeting place will be at the lamp in Station Road, close to the South Western Railway station, Devonport. The first run will be on March 21st, to Polinthick.
