Romsey: Reading Society: On Tuesday evening an entertainment in connection with this society was given in the Town Hall. All the items, which consisted of vocal and instrumental music and readings, gave much pleasure and received applause. The songs of Mrs. Ketchley and the Misses Pinsent and Baker were encored, as were the excellent performances of Messrs. E. and A. Tuck and Miss Tuck, who accompanied on the pianoforte. The following is the programme: —Pianoforte duet, Miss Cary Bliss and Mast- r W. Grace; song, M 133 ‘fuck; song, Mr. Boyle ; reading, Rev. E. L. Berthon ; song, Miss Pinsent (encored) ; violin duet, Messrs. E. and A. Tuck ; reading, Mr. Osborne ; song, Mrs. Ketchley (encored) ; pianoforte duet, Misses A. Tuck and A. Salter ; song, Miss Pinsent ; reading, Rev. E. Ketchley ; song, Miss Baker (encored) ; violin solo, Mr. E. Tuck (encored) song, Miss Tuck ; reading, Mr. Ramshaw, and song Mr. W. Holloway. At the close the Vicar congratulated the performers upon their successful efforts.
