Bovey Tracey: The annual social tea of Bovey Congregational Church and congregation has been held with very satisfactory results. A good company assembled; the proceedings were of a very homely character. The statistical and financial statements were read and approved, and a number of short speeches given representative of the various institutions of the church. For the Sunday School, Mr. G. Pinsent spoke; for the finances, Mr. Endacott, for the C. E., Mrs. Blake, Miss L. Martin, and Mr. W. Heath; for the local preachers, Mr. W. H. Heath, and Mr. A. Mountford: for the branch church at Cold East, Mr. F. Northway and Mr. J. Cumming. Rev. R. Blake appealed who remained outside the fellowship to come to a decision, and to make a good confession.
