Rev. E.  C. Atherton at St. James’s, Keyham: Rev. E. C. Atherton, who after being eight years Vicar of Holy Trinity, Barnstable, has accepted the living of St. James’s Keyham, on Thursday paid (in company with Mrs. Atherton) a visit to his new parish, where at an annual social gathering, he was introduced to the parishioners by the Rev. R. J. Bond, the retiring Vicar … (review of parish condition and welcome) ... An enjoyable programme was contributed to by Messrs. Moreton, Chubb, and Reed, Misses E. Fox, Gillman, Pinsent, E. Foster Bone, D. Foster Bone and Chubb, Master G. Foster Bone, and the Handbell Ringers.
