Departure of the R.E.’s: “D” Company R.E. Signal Section (O.C. Major Pinsent) left the town on Wednesday morning by special train for Maresfield Park, Sussex, where they are to be encamped. A fatigue party only now remains at Biggleswade. Ever since the outbreak of war, the R.E.’s have been stationed in the town, and their departure will be regretted by many residents in the town and district.
