Collapsed in Mid-Air: While being tested over Surrey, an aeroplane collapsed in mid-air and fell to earth in five sections. The pilot, Lionel Derek Francis Lutyens, R.A.F., and a civilian observer, Mr. David Hugh Pensant were killed.
