Bromsgrove Rural District Council: … Barnt Green Diphtheria Outbreak:  A letter was received from Messrs. Pinsent and Company on behalf of Messrs. H. Clifford Davis, G. C. Kendall, and C. Herbert Smith, of Barnt Green, who claimed out of pocket expenses on the grounds of having been removed from their residences at Barnt Green at the time of the diphtheria for the protection of the health of themselves and their families. They alleged neglect on the part of the Council and claimed the sums of £8 3s 6d, £3 0s 6d and £5 14s respectively …
