Army F.A. Cup: Of the three Army Cup-ties at Aldershot two were replays. The third brought the Royal Engineers and the 1st Dorsets’ from Blackdown into opposition on the Sappers’ ground. During the opening minutes the game appeared to be a “gift” for the Sappers, who soon led by a goal, netted by Bell, although Pinsent made the point possible. The reverse, however, so stimulated the infantrymen that it was not until within five minutes of the final whistle that a second point from the same pair assured the Engineers of their victory. …
