Rating Act in the West: Position of Local Authorities: … … Plymouth Procedure: Persons Qualified to Receive Forms: In Plymouth area the public have been apprised of the last day for lodging claims by an official notice in the “Western Morning News,” and also by handbill sent directly to people whom the authorities think will come under the Act. The Rating Authority is required to publish “as soon as practicable” the notice in the form prescribed by the statutory rules. …  Then all persons who, in their opinion, are entitled to a rebate on their productive enterprises will lodge claims before October 16t. These claims will be considered by the Valuation Authority and the district valuer, Mr. Pinsent of Princess Square: Should persons who come under this particular Act be not satisfied with their revised assessments, they can appeal to the Assessment Committee of the district and state their case. …
