Lintie Gets its Owner Off: When John Arthur Pinsent was summoned at Leicester for confining goldfinches and linnets in cages of insufficient size to allow them to stretch their wings, the defendant produced one of the birds, which immediately poured fourth its song and entertained Sir Jonathan North and other magistrates. The case was dismissed.
