Evesham & West Midland Observer: Saturday 7th April 1923

Winchcombe: St. Peter’s Cricket Club: There were about thirty members present at the annual meeting on Wednesday night last week, the Rev. J. Pinsent (Treasurer) being in the chair. An adverse balance of £1 12s 4d on the last season’s working was reported. Mr. S. Fisher was re-elected Hon. Secretary, Mr. P. Major was also re-elected Captain, while Mr. L. Homes was appointed Vice-Captain. The Rev. J. Pinsent resigned his position as Treasurer, saying he was leaving the town. Regrets were expressed. Mr. Donald Agg was elected to fill the position. The Committee were made up as follows: Captain, Vice-Captain, Secretary, Treasurer and Mr. W. J. Turner. The Rev. J. Pinsent kindly offered to make up half the adverse balance. At a committee meeting which followed, it was decided to hold a whist drive in the near future so as to commence this year with a clean sheet.
