Deal in Baldwins Shares: Huge Sum Involved in Test Case: In the King’s Bench on Friday the hearing was resumed of the action by Dr. William Francombe of Harborne Birmingham against Messrs. Sperling and Co., London, share brokers, claiming over £41,000 as the price of over 13,000 ordinary shares in Baldwins (Limited). Swansea, alleged to be payable to plaintiff under a contract dated February 1920, between the defendants and the directors of Baldwins (Limited).  … … (continues) … … Mr. Richard Pinsent, solicitor for Baldwins in Birmingham, said the draft of the agreement of February 27, describing Sperling’s as purchasers, was approved by the defendant’s solicitors.
