Hailsham v Maresfield Corps of Signals: Hailsham were more at home on the muddy Hailsham Recreation Saturday afternoon than the visitors, who seemed unable to settle down to the conditions. The homesters were leading 4—2 at the Interval. They were without the services of A. W. Woolley at centre forward, his place being taken by M. B. Cole, who scored four times, but missed several other good openings. A. Gleed (2) and H. B. Parker secured the other Hailsham goals, while the Corps of Signals’ scorers were Major Pinsent (2) and Lieut. Woodbridge. R. C. Shaw, Gleed, and J. C. Campbell were prominent in the Hailsham team, and Major Phillips, Major Pinsent, Lieut. Woodbridge, and Lieut. Westropp played a great game for the visitors.
