River Reports: … … Tavy: The river has been in flood twice in the past ten days. Salmon have been seen in some numbers, but few have been taken. Maj. Dawson had one at Penpound, Mr. Matthews a grilse, 5 lb, and I hear another angler had a fish about 10lb in the Big Pool. Mr. Pincent had a salmon 10 lb on the Buckland Water and lost another: Peal have provided good sport and the river is full of them …
