Service and Society: The three officers who have been appointed as permanent secretary to the Navy Week Committee at the three home ports, Paymaster Captain H. C. F. Pinsent (Portsmouth), Lieutenant Commander J. R. Poland (Chatham), and Lieutenant Commander R. B. Ford (Plymouth) have all had experience in connection with past Navy Weeks.
