Glass Appreciation: Following demonstration quilting Miss Henderson, organiser. Glass W.R.I. had reports from Mrs. Shand, secretary, and Mrs. Cassie, treasurer. Mrs. Shand expressed great regret that Mrs. Kessler, who had been president for a number of years, had now left the district, and spoke highly of the work she had done. Mrs. Geddes, hon. president, had previously, on behalf of the members, presented Mrs. Kessler with a beautiful salad bowl. It was decided to ask Mrs. Pinsent, Edinglassie Lodge, to act as president. The new committee were elected by ballot — Mrs. Duncan, vice-president; Mrs. Shand, secretary; Mrs. Cassie, treasurer; Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Barron, Miss Brander, Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Robson, and Miss Whyte. Mrs. Shand, who has proved a most efficient secretary for the past five years, was presented with a beautiful Aladdin lamp – The presentation was made by Mrs. Geddes, and Mrs. Shand acknowledged. In a competition for the six best eggs, the prizes went to —1, Mrs. Duncan, Belnaboth; 2, Miss Duff, Netherton. Solos were rendered by Miss Watson, and Mrs. Cameron provided piano selections. Mrs. Duncan, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Morrison, and Mrs. Paterson were hostesses.
