Scholars’ Health at Winchester: Education Committee’s Precaution: “There is really no cause for alarm,” said the mayor (Councillor Major J. R. Pinsent, D.S.O.) at a meeting of the Winchester Education Committee on Tuesday in regard to the incidences of scarlet fever at Stanmore Junior School. … (discussion) … The difficulty was that scarlet fever was a disease which made itself apparent in many ways …Every precaution was being taken, and they hoped that the new step would have the desired effect.
