Concert by Pupils: Dances, Choral Singing, Acting and Physical Training Display: A commendable high standard was reached by pupils of the Dartmouth Street (Birmingham) Senior Girls’ School in their annual concert last night, which was attended by a large gathering of parents and friends. There was country dancing by the dancing club, songs, and dances of the British Isles by the music club, choral singing by the combined pupils, an excellent physical training display and a short play. The play, by one of the mistresses, Miss Ann Blake, was awarded the “Roy Pinsent” Shield in the recent Juvenile Dramatic Festival. Another feature of the evening was the display of handicrafts.
