Glass has Sale Success: A successful cake and candy sale was held by Glass W.R.I., Mrs. Pinsent, Edinglassie Lodge, presided and in the unavoidable absence of Miss Ross, St Ann’s, Huntly, opened the sale. Before doing so, Mrs. Pinsent made sympathetic reference to the death of Mrs. Cassie, who was a most enthusiastic member. Mrs. Duncan thanked Mrs. Pinsent for the valuable help she at all times gave the Institute. The stallholders were: — Candy, Mrs. Shand and Mrs. Leith; cake, Mrs. Thomson, and Mrs. Fraser; dairy, Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Burgess; jumble; Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Watt; tea — Mrs. Mackie and Mrs. McBain; bran dips; Mrs. Pinsent. Winners of competitions were Mrs. Pinsent and Miss Brander. The drawings amounted to £21 14s 9d.
