Glass Cinema Treat: Members of Glass W.R.I. were entertained at Edinglassie Lodge by Mrs. Pinsent. A cinema, operated by Commander Pinsent, was greatly enjoyed. Prizes for the various competitions were given by Mrs. Pinsent, who, during her first year of office as president, has helped the Institute considerably. A party from Auchindoir Institute provided the programme at the last monthly meeting. Lady Robertson Nicoll read an interesting story by Isabel Cameron on “Consider the Postage Stamp, and Stick It’,” and Miss Pollard gave a short talk on the uses of salt. Other members of the party contributed solos, duets, piano, and violin selections. An amusing feature was the “Three Bowness Beauties,” just come from London, and wearing the latest style of dress. In a guessing competition, given by the visiting Institute, the prizes were won by: — 1, Miss Whyte. 2, Mrs. Cassie. The committee were hostesses.
