Glass Cookery: Glass W.R.I. Mrs. Pinsent presiding decided to change the hour of the meeting during the summer months from four to seven o’clock. Three cookery demonstrations were given – by Mrs. Duncan, Edinglassie, on the baking of fruit cakes; Mrs. Duncan, Belnaboth, on girdle scones; and Mrs. Cassie on the making of an omelette. Miss Janet Burgess delighted with a humorous Scots recitation “Jimmy,” The hostesses were Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. Fraser, Mrs. Mackie, and Miss Horne: Votes of thanks were proposed by Mrs. Pinsent and Mrs. Ingleby.
