Glass at Edinglassie Lodge: Members of Glass W.R.I.; by Huntly, had an enjoyable afternoon at Edinglassie Lodge, the guests of Mrs. Pinsent, president. The programme included a delightful cinematograph display by Commander Pinsent. Mrs. Geddes, Invermarkie, thanked Commander and Mrs. Pinsent for the enjoyable entertainment they had given. A hearty vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Duncan to Mrs. Ingleby, Invermarkie Lodge, who had motored the visitors to and from the party. At the monthly meeting an “Open Night” — Mrs. Pinsent presiding — Commander Pinsent gave an enjoyable talk on the Navy, illustrated by lantern slides. There was a large audience, and a silver collection was taken on behalf of the W.R.I. funds. Mr. Shand, Schoolhouse, thanked Commander and Mrs. Pinsent, also Captain Philimore, the lanternist. In a competition for the best sixpenny supper for two- persons Lady Martin Smith and Captain Philimore made the awards: 1, Mrs. Cassie, 2, Miss J. Thomson. The prizes were the gift of Mrs. Pinsent.
